Due to the reputation of the IWAS becoming the number one authority on all things whisky in Inverness and probably even the world; it was decided by the committee (chosen ones) to further enhance the knowledge base by inviting some more like minded individuals to take it to the next level. Either that or we had eventually got so fed up with each others banter and just wanted some other people to bore with our pre conceived conception that we really did know what we were talking about. So without any further delay letters were sent out to willing candidates (victims) who were then interviewed to determine what they could bring to this great society. We are delighted to say that at this meet two new brothers were sworn and a further three members added since then.
Whiskys Tasted
So back to the main reason for this write up which is to give you our highly scientific analysis of the whisky drunk that night. It was agreed that each would take a bottle along to taste and give our thoughts/opinions on it.
As you can see from the selection it was wide and varied with some nice big hitters in there among some bottles which I would say were only taken as they have either been in the collection for a while with no other means of getting rid of them due to them being crap........ or is that a little harsh, I will leave that up to the readers to decide.
Enjoyed
Now what is often the case with these tastings it starts of quite civilised with small drams and discussions about the nose and hints of ground coffee and vanilla running through it etc etc.... It will then will develop into bottles being polished off and all manner of unpublishable outcomes which generally result in the loss of employment, family home and son on..... However this time it all went to plan and everyone just had a good time and were home by ten pm so wifes husbands boyfriends girlfriends fiancés fiancée non binary lovers had nothing to fear.
The plan initially was to take rough notes and then transfer them into a far more professional layout however due to not doing it and fear of never doing it i have just included a picture of hen scribbled notes and will give you the places and then if you go on our recommendations you may go and purchase the bottle that came first so you can enjoy it.
